Mercedes Energy Management Case Study: Last month, we exhibited at EMEX – the leading UK energy management exhibition and networking event. Our Business Development Director, James Martin led a seminar in front of some of the most influential decision makers in the industry.

James’s presentation focused on a recent project with one of our key clients, Jardine Motors Group, and specifically with on of their Mercedes-Benz franchised dealerships, where we  assessed the operational impact that their business has with energy reduction, and provided examples of why a desktop ROI analysis alone, may not always provide the relevant answers.

Mercedes Energy Management Case Study: Following a detailed energy audit, LCS Energy implemented their energy management program MAPIT*. Non-intrusive real-time cloud-based data monitoring equipment was installed to provide visualisation of real-time loads and energy use across the site-wide consumption. Our analysis and reporting tools presented the Jardine Group with the foundations of their energy-efficiency strategy.

By adopting real-time monitoring, the business could get an immediate overview of the energy impacts within the site. They were now able to see the impact of how much their energy was costing in specific areas of the building, and could identify the different the power sources, times and duration of use.The detailed analysis culminated in a report that identified that 31% of all power consumed occurred out of working hours. There was a leaking compressor and the HVAC system was left running overnight.
